The Story Behind Soft Launch
Hi, I’m Cara – the founder of Soft Launch. I’m so excited you’re here.
Soft Launch started on my couch, with my dog by my side. After my divorce, getting back into dating was…wild, to say the least. Dating apps felt exhausting, swiping wasn’t fun anymore, and paying for something every month that led nowhere? No thank you.
After a fun photoshoot with my dog, and while putting together our Christmas card, I tapped into my marketing background and decided to create a campaign – for my love life.
It started with a card, then evolved into a custom profile. I’ve always believed that good people know good people, so I put my friends and family to work – because someone has to know someone.
I mailed nearly 100 Christmas cards, each with a few introduction cards inside. The response was incredible. Suddenly, the people in my life had their eyes open and were actively rooting for me in a whole new way.
I created Soft Launch for three reasons:

This world needs more real, human connection. These cards aren’t just for singles to hand out – they’re a way for you and the people in your life to take a small step and say hello, whether it’s to a cute dentist, a friendly neighbor, or someone you’d never otherwise meet.
Dating today takes confidence. This isn’t something to hide behind — it’s a way to show up intentionally, creatively, and authentically.
As my best friend said to me before I launched: “If this helps even one person find love, it’s worth it.”
